Witness to Remembrance

A Community Photo Art Show

Five years ago my brother, John Berger, flew into God’s arms. Since then I have contemplated his life yearly through photos. Remembering his life in this way continues to inspire me to rejoice in God’s creation and to say “Thank you God for the many precious moments I had with him and for how you created him. “ It is my hope that through sharing remembrances of our loved ones we will build community with one another and live in gratitude for the beauty of the lives around us.

A total of 39 participants from California, Argentina, and Sierra Leone West Africa now invite you to share in their remembrances of a deceased loved one. Earlier this year each participant was given a disposable camera to act as witness to the individual’s remembrance.

Take a few moments to reflect on each life represented here and the way we all contribute to the beautiful fabric which is woven into a community of loved ones.
